My dear old friend Cynthia sent me a link to her family blog (barelycoherent) and it inspired me to put some effort into creating one. Here it is! You will undoubtedly love it and tell everyone you know about it because it's going to be just that awesome.
Another friend, Angie, recently created a blog, but I cannot have her thinking it was inspirational to me in any way. That would ruin everything. Don't even visit it, you might throw up. Her kids are cute and Angie is a lovely person. Really. We just have seriously different tastes, and it's pretty much my goal to make her feel terrible about the dumb things she likes.
I've had a couple of false blog-starts before, like my celebrated running log on MySpace (I'm not a luddite, really I'm not), but I never had anything that important or amazing or enviable to report in full blogalicious format. Now, however, I'm one of those over-thirty-mamas who pretty much obsesses about her offspring, family, house, and career (in that order) and for some mysteries-of-the-web/human nature reason, I think some people will be into reading my stupid (and brilliant and insightful) observations and accounts of our life. It's a little like being on stage but without the butterflies backstage.
